Situated on a charming peak with views of the valley beyond, it captures its exclusiveness from the panoramic view as a source of calming influence. The architecture projects a discreet style of living. On the exterior, a quiet simplicity reigns with its pure geometry that is complemented by the graceful articulation of the façade. The building features sprawling glass curtain-walls to lighten the massing of the building and to open up the internal spaces to the outside by permitting porosity. The calibration of full-height windows enables the dispersion of ample daylight to invigorate the living spaces. The interiors are transient as it allows the gradual changes or mood of the day to mediate the living environment with the suburban surroundings.

The rectilinear composition of the floor plan ensures unobstructed views and adequate natural ventilation for the apartments. Internally, materials that are timeless and natural are adopted to allow the apartment to remain an ageless space and a gracious setting for a family’s growth. On the façade, a series of horizontal planes are carefully folded into shapes in an origami-manner. The folded shapes are then wilfully shifted and expanded to create pleated movements on the façade. The intended outcome is an ephemeral quality of orchestrated motion and animation of shadows cast by the shapes at different times of the day.

Different vantage levels unfold different views and heighten our perceptions of our surroundings. The building sits within a natural environment with courts, terraces, and lush greenery. On the ground, the characteristics of the natural spaces augment the interiors, as the spaces and views gently blend into the landscape. The delight of a foliage garden can also be enjoyed in the sky. The openness of the roof level sky garden offers seamless connectivity and engages the residents. Here, the sky-garden shares an expansive communal space that is weaved together with a series of facilities to encourage social communication and participation.
